A Chancelaria de Defesa da República de Angola na Nigéria apresentou hoje, 09/10, em Abuja, as suas condolências pelo passamento físico de 25 cidadãos nigerianos, sendo 19 militares e 6 civis, vítimas do acidente aéreo ocorrido no dia 5 de outubro, em Ondo.
O Adido de Defesa de Angola, Coronel Ventura Miguel, assinou o Livro de Condolências onde expressou pesar pela trágica ocorrência quando o avião militar ATR-42 proveniente de Benin-city com destino à Lagos caiu no Estado de Ondo.

MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE
It is with profound sadness that the Defence Chancellery of the Republic of Angola in the Federal Republic of Nigeria learnt of the tragic crash involving a Nigerian military aircraft in Ondo State on 5 October 2026, which claimed the lives of 25 Nigerian citizens, including 17 military personnel and six civilians.
In this difficult moment for the bereaved families, the Nigerian Air Force, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we pay our solemn tribute to the memory of the lives lost in this tragic incident.
We honour the dedication, service, and sacrifice of the military personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, their colleagues, and all those affected by this tragedy, and pray that they may find strength, courage, and comfort during this period of immense grief.
The Defence Chancellery of the Republic of Angola in Nigeria expresses its deepest sympathies and stands in solidarity with the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during this difficult time.
