Luanda, October 1, 2025: TAAG Angola Airlines has just received the second Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in its fleet at the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN). This marks another significant milestone toward the 2024–2029 strategic plan and the airline’s transformation and modernization process overall.
The long-haul aircraft, registered as D2-TER, joins the existent Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner D2-TEQ, which is operating the Luanda–São Paulo route. Thus, the new aircraft will reinforce the airline capacity to serve intercontinental routes with excellence, efficiency, and maximum comfort for passengers and clients.
Incorporated under a leasing arrangement, this aircraft has an initial configuration, which can be reconfigured in the future, of 345 seats in total: 282 in Economy Class and 63 in Premium Economy Class.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is globally recognized for its fuel efficiency, significant reduction in CO₂ emissions, and lower operational costs. For passengers, the aircraft offers a greater onboard experience with quieter cabins, modern design, convenience, and comfort.
Fleet renewal is a strategic investment for TAAG Angola Airlines, focused on leveraging the pillars of operational excellence, organizational efficiency, commercial superiority, and connectivity & hub strategy. These are critical factors for the financial sustainability of the company and the continuous improvement in customer experience.
TAAG Angola Airlines is indeed a facilitator and a relevant player empowering connectivity from Angola to the world, bridging multiple geographies on a global scale.
