{"id":9818,"date":"2024-03-20T05:32:55","date_gmt":"2024-03-20T05:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/angolanembassy-nga.ao\/?p=9818"},"modified":"2024-03-20T05:32:56","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T05:32:56","slug":"nnamdi-kanu-ill-end-insecurity-in-south-east-in-two-minutes-if-im-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angolanembassy-nga.ao\/?p=9818","title":{"rendered":"Nnamdi Kanu: I\u2019ll end insecurity in south-east in two minutes if I\u2019m released"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>BY ABDULSALAM ABDULLAH<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), says he would restore peace in the south-east in two minutes if released from detention.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IPOB leader said nobody in the south-east can counter his orders concerning the security situation in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kanu spoke on Tuesday after he was denied bail by Binta Nyako, presiding judge of the federal high court, Abuja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said violence has persisted in the region because he is being held in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnybody committing crime cannot go free. I swear, anybody committing crime in the east cannot go free,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey are doing it because I am in the DSS (custody). If I were to be outside, nobody could try this. I suspect that some people in government are complicit. They are making money with insecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey know if Nnamdi Kanu is outside, in two minutes this nonsense will stop. Who is the bagger or idiot that will speak when I am talking?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat I would give an order in the east\u2026 who is the idiot that I would give an order that would counter it? Nobody can. I am Nnamdi Kanu. Rubbish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnybody involved in any form of violence in the east in the name of IPOB is a goner and they know it.
