{"id":12075,"date":"2024-09-03T09:20:41","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T09:20:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/angolanembassy-nga.ao\/?p=12075"},"modified":"2024-09-03T09:20:42","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T09:20:42","slug":"police-place-n20m-bounty-on-briton-nigerian-allegedly-plotting-govt-overthrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angolanembassy-nga.ao\/?p=12075","title":{"rendered":"Police place N20m bounty on Briton, Nigerian allegedly plotting govt overthrow"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Police have placed a N20m bounty on a British national, Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, and a Nigerian, Lucky Obiyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police declared the duo wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow the democratically elected government in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing reporters on Monday in Abuja, the Force spokesperson,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=muyiwa+adejobi&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Esearch\">Muyiwa Adejobi<\/a>, accused the British national of building a network of sleeper cells to topple the government and plunge the nation into chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adejobi also revealed that Wynne rented a space at Labour House and established a school to cover up his activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe (Wynne) mobilised and deployed several billions of naira to his Nigerian collaborators, urging them to mobilise the public to violently storm police facilities and military barracks, anticipating a bloodbath that would instigate international condemnation of the Nigerian government. These acts violate the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 and other relevant laws,\u201d the FPRO added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that Wynne and his local coordinator, Obiyan, had fled the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin released on Monday, the police announced a reward of N10 million each for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It reads: \u201cIf seen, arrest and hand over to the nearest Police Station, or the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Force Intelligence, Force Headquarters, Abuja, or call&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:08035179870\">08035179870<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:09133333785\">09133333785<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"tel:09133333786\">09133333786<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA reward sum of N10,000,000 awaits any person(s) with information leading to the arrest of each of them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Police have placed a N20m bounty on a British national, Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, and a Nigerian, Lucky Obiyan.
